Documentation translation for nuclear power plant construction
We translate documentation for safety class 1–4 equipment under NP-001-15, the Russian general safety provisions for nuclear power plants. Foreign suppliers and contractors get documentation that passes acceptance on the Russian side, and English translations of design, quality and test documents. Project requirements
We follow each plant owner's requirements and glossaries, work with IAEA documents and customer-specified regulatory documents where needed, and format documents to GOST (Russian national standards) and ESKD (the Russian design documentation system).

03.Terminology
Consistent terminology, original layout
We work from approved project glossaries, build a termbase for each customer and check terminology before delivery. A term is translated the same way in every file of an order, even when the order runs to several thousand files.
We translate AutoCAD drawings in TransTools with all layers intact. Where needed, we use SPDS (Russian construction design documentation standards), LISP and VBA. The translation is fitted into title blocks, callouts and tables without distorting the graphics.

Frequently asked questions
.01How do you keep NPP documentation confidential?
We agree the data handling mode with you before we send a quote. In standard mode, the project runs in our translation environment, and language models are connected through corporate APIs whose terms do not allow training on your data. Team members may not upload materials to personal accounts or public services, and all of them are bound by confidentiality obligations.
If external services are not acceptable for your project, we work in closed mode, without external APIs. We will sign a confidentiality agreement on your own form.
.02Can you translate .dwg (AutoCAD) files and keep the layout?
Yes, we do this routinely. We export the text from the .dwg file, translate it with translation memory (to keep terminology consistent and in line with project requirements) and import it back into the drawing.
You get a fully editable AutoCAD file with layers, fonts and scale unchanged.
.03Do you work with .cdw (KOMPAS-3D) files?
Not directly: .cdw works poorly with professional translation memory systems (CAT tools).
To keep the layout and get a discount on repetitions, export the drawings from KOMPAS-3D to .dwg (AutoCAD) or vector .pdf.
.04Do you know the industry regulatory documents?
Yes. We regularly refer to GOST, Russian nuclear regulations and codes (PNAE G, NP, RB) and other Russian industry regulatory documents, and to IAEA documents and foreign standards where required.
On every project, we work to the plant owner's terminology and formatting requirements as well as Russian regulations.
