INSIGHT School
INSIGHT School is run by INSIGHT, a technical translation bureau in St Petersburg founded in 2017. Since 2023 the bureau has run courses and practical training for technical translators; more than 40 students have completed the training at INSIGHT. The courses use the bureau's working methods for quality assessment and production.

Two courses
LQA and MQM: measuring translation quality
Build an error typology based on MQM, annotate errors consistently and calculate raw and calibrated quality scores (RQS, CQS). Four modules, weekly online sessions, and teacher review of your annotations. For editors, QA specialists, project managers and translators.

Who teaches
Yuri Vodostoy is the founder of INSIGHT. He has taught Linguistic Quality Assessment and Translation Quality Metrics at Tomsk State University since 2024. Technical translator since 2012, consecutive interpreter since 2018. Subject areas: nuclear power, mining, IT, automation and metrology.
