The course draws on our experience of building our own translation and layout tools, one of which is the HardTrans translation platform. The third topic follows on from the ProZ.com talk “Translator + toolmaker: Building the software nobody sells you”.

Using automation to turn PDFs, scans and drawings into editable files ready for translation, then checking the result against the source page by page.
Building your own tools
Writing small scripts and utilities for recurring translation and layout tasks, and moving from one-off prompts to repeatable procedures.
