Strict selection of translators and editors
Every editor and translator must pass a three-stage test. Out of a hundred candidates, we select 3–4 specialists with hands-on engineering experience.
An engineering approach to translation
INSIGHT was founded in 2017 and works only on technical translation. We combine language skills with an understanding of engineering processes.
01.Founder
I founded the agency in 2017. To me, technical translation is engineering work.
We work on complex engineering projects: nuclear power plant construction, mining, metalworking.
I lead key projects myself and make sure the translation keeps both the meaning and the formatting of the documents.

2017
The agency is founded. First projects in mechanical engineering, oil and gas, and mining.

2021
We enter the nuclear power market (Kudankulam NPP) and set up processes for translation, editing, layout and quality control (LQA).

2022
We scale up. Work begins on El Dabaa and Akkuyu NPPs. We translate mining documentation on drilling and blasting for certification by Rostekhnadzor, the Russian industrial safety regulator.

2023
We launch industrial software localisation, expand our metalworking portfolio and take on more interpreting and on-site support.

2025
We deploy our translation environment, with translation memory and project glossaries in one place.

2026
We developed HardTrans, our own automation platform, and brought in AI tools for translation, layout and checking, all under editor control. Two data handling modes: standard and closed.
03.Quality
How we control quality
Multi-stage checks
A machine draft in our translation environment, then a full review by an in-house editor who specialises in engineering. After editing come automated checks of numbers and terminology, a sample linguistic quality assessment (LQA) and a final layout check.
AI and in-house tools
Our own automation tools and language models speed up individual operations and shorten the schedule. The editor is responsible for the result, and we do not deliver raw machine output.
